Welcome to the European Space Elevator Challenge!

Make it ecology-minded, make it efficient, make it european!

EuSEC Logo

EuSEC's focus is on efficiency. We want you to build a climber, that - based on the concept of a real space elevator - drives autonomous, carries high payloads and gets its energy from a wireless powersource. The first EuSEC in August 2011 offers participants the opportunity to participate in two levels. Learn more about the competition...

An elevator to the stars? Is that really possible?

The concept is pretty easy. An elevator drives on an extremely tear-resistant tether at least 36.000 km up to the space. At the top of the tether a satellite or a space station is placed. The tether is permanently strained by the balance of the gravitation and the centrifugal forces. Learn more about the idea...

Great Support

The project becomes possible by the support of many. The most important patron for us is the Klaus Höchstetter Foundation. They oversee the whole Challenge, motivated our team from the very beginning and of course they found the prize money of over 5.000 Euros. Please visit www.klaus-hoechstetter-stiftung.de for more information.
